Gabb is just an MVNO, ie., Mobile Virtual Network Operator that has designed a unique model wherein they have come up with their own devices that use the Verizon network with special permission and plans.
Since cap phones are made for kids it has a special service plan with talk and text but no internet and costs $19.99 per month. Those who want group texting and picture messages, have to pay an additional $5 a month.

Gabb has designed an ecosystem wherein Gabb manufactures devices designed to operate on Gabb Wireless cellular network and does not work on any other network.
